Member of the International Organ Transplant Society Steering Committee Chen Zhonghua Visits Cell Therapy Institute

On the afternoon of April 1st, 2013, Chen Zhonghua, member of the Steering Committee of the International Society of Organ Transplantation, vice chairman of the Organ Transplantation Branch of the Chinese Medical Association, director of the Ministry of Health's Ministry of Education, director of the Institute of Organ Transplantation, Tongji Medical College, Huazhong University of Science and Technology, the Ministry of Education Changjiang scholar Professor, and his entourage visited Cell Therapy Institute (CTI). Chairman of CTI Professor Law, Vice Chairman Dr. Min Danlin, Assistant Chairman Xie Ming and Production Director Lu Ping conducted a warm reception.

Firstly, Professor Chen visited CTI’s offices and myoblast cell culture laboratory where he was informed on the production process of myoblasts and its benefits. Subsequently, Professor Chen and CTI’s leaders discussed the development of cell therapy within in the country, the prospective future of myoblasts, myoblast transplantation technology and its potential as the third category of medical technology among other topics.

Professor Chen was optimistic about the myoblast treatment technology and indicated his willingness to cooperate with CTI in hopes that myoblast treatment would be able to benefit patients as soon as possible.
